While the UK was getting excited about Daz tulips, my husband was stationed in Thailand and we lived in Bangkok which is where I found the most beautiful silk flowers of every kind. I bought some silk rosebuds from Jim Thompson’s shop and brought them back to the UK. When we retired and went into retail I knew I had to sell these flowers and I looked for the best. Price is usually a good way of choosing the best but not always. Occasionally we find some really good examples of a cheaper variety but not often and prices are going up dramatically. Buy from what is in stock at the moment and you have a bargain.
